Ross, i just read a few of your posts here. I can relate to the basckground and situation. Looks like you and Kelsi had a busy Chuseok weekend. Mine was quiet in Wando town, went for a walk alone and took photos. Also intereting reading about the taxi fare story with your co-teacher. Very difficult socially and culturally.
Please check out my Korean Journey blog and make comments too. That one will finish soon. The last entry is in draft form at the moment. I may expand it later.
Not sure what to call the current phase of my life having just returned home to OZ. Paul
Hi Paul, Glad to here you made it home in one piece. I’ll check out your blog. I’m curious to hear your closing thoughts, Life’s always an adventure. I’m sure this phase is only an interim before your next big thing. Cheers.
Just caught up on your blog. Things are stat quo here. Civil war might be for the Rose Bowl for either team. Sounds like your gettin’ the education. As ussual I’m proud of ya. You look good in the pic’s.
just stumbled upon your blog by accident. wow, you’re in Wando… that’s like middle of nowhere! with not that many foreigners or anything. it’s super different from Seoul. but it seems like you have a good attitude. keep it up and stay positive man!
Thanks Jeremy, I try to keep it positive around here. My girlfriend and I are the only 미국 on Nohwa-do, although there are a handful of 외국인 in the form of some Pakistani guys I met the other day and the occasional SE Asian bride. I’ve got NETs friends on Wando to help provide some balance and there’s always Skype. Anyways, the situation gets pretty bleak in my head, at times, but I keep the blog focused I’m more constructive lines of thought. Thanks for the shout bud.
